Daily Practice ~ The Essence of Yoga

My practice of photography and yoga began when I was 19 after enrolling in a couple of classes for college credit. Since then, my love and exploration of both has continued to grow throughout my life. This series of images, created using a 1980’s Hasselblad camera and 120mm B&W film, is a photographic meditation on the ritual of yoga created with friends who practice yoga daily. This medium requires me to slow down, connect and observe their gestures, creating an impression of the mind, body and spiritual connection that occurs during the experience of yoga.
